Sunday was the last day of the Philadelphia Flower Show, the world’s largest indoor flower show. My husband and I made plans to go on Thursday, but the snow storm kept us away. I am so glad I made time on Sunday for this magnificent event. The theme was Celebrate the Movies and I heard so much about it that I just had to go. I used to go religiously and get my annual souvenir coffee mug, but then I fell off the wagon. At one time I spent a lot of time gardening, but when I moved to a new house in 2007, the only yard work that I focused on was keeping up the lawn and trimming the bushes. Last year I did plant a few large containers and vowed to add more perennials to our front yard this year. Well, I got lots of ideas from the flower show and can’t wait to get started on my outdoor creations. Below is a sampling of the array of beautiful displays. Enjoy!
