Artist Bio
Trained as an educator, Christine Webb enjoys the rewards of teaching middle school students in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Quilting to her is equally as rewarding as watching her students grow. This local quilt artist has been designing and creating quilts for more than 30 years. Her favorite quilts are scrap quilts and those constructed from old jeans. Many of her designs include whimsical features or an unexpected twist. Today, Chris has captured the beauty of her endearing quilts in museum quality note cards available for art lovers and others seeking unique specialty items.
Artist Statement
“I feel blessed to be able to create things that I love. My attention to art, color, pattern, and textile has led me to the quilted arts. I hope everyone finds contentment and fulfillment through self expression as I have. Whatever your passion, learn as much as you can about the things that you truly care about. And most of all, share your passion with others. Just maybe, the world would be a better place. What do you think?”
-Christine Webb
“It takes a long time to piece many of my quilts. That’s OK because when they are completed, I’m ecstatic. I am delighted to share with you my passion for quilts and often say that it is important to ‘perpetuate the art of quilting.’
