Time for a Break!

While the country was continuing its fierce spiral in the wrong direction, I took a break from the unbelievable chaos that I witnessed on my TV screens. I attended my monthly book club meeting although I knew I had plenty of work that I needed to complete before 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. That was the time that I had to leave my house in order to drop off my artwork for my upcoming art exhibit.

I am so glad that I didn’t skip this meeting because I had the pleasure of listening to a positive gentleman who authored a book called Gas Money. In this book, Troy Lewis, who is from a tiny town in Virginia, shares the bitter and sweet experiences which shaped his life and gives credit to those who made a significant impact on him. Because I had spent a lot of time during the last few months working on my show pieces, I did not get a chance to finish this book. After listening to his wonderful storytelling, I can’t wait to finish reading the autobiographical accounts shared in this book. I enjoy reading about the lives of interesting people and recommend this book to others.

The political craziness that is evident day after day is likely to continue for a long time. Take time to surround yourself with positive people, engage yourself in positive activities, and keep thinking positively. Most of all, keep creating something that makes you feel good.

Artfully yours,
Chris
